Avocadohonig - Persea americana

Certified glass jar, net weight: 385 g. Very dark honey, almost black. It is different, very tasty, with a hint of caramel and "ripe fruits", pleasantly salty. Bees are important to pollinate avocado groves, but the trees make little nectar, so bees produce just a little amount of this tasty, expensive honey. Different rare endemic flowers contribute to the unique "wild" taste of this honey.

Avocados bloom in spring and summer depending on the cultivars and on the zone of the island.
Most orchards of avocado in Tenerife are located a bit upland, very close to natural areas with wild endemic plants. This is why many different rare flowers contribute to the unique "wild" taste of this honey.
