Couroupita guianensis - Cannonball Tree

This extraordinaty exotic ornamental tree is a real people stopper. It profusely produces intensely fragrant red and pink flowers. Then, these are followed by... by the cannonballs! These huge fruits are edible when raw but they are typicall not consumed because of a bad smell they produce. ench Guyana
