This is the holy grial of mangoes!  Kasturi fruits are smaller than commercial mangos: they are black-purple skinned and their flesh is deep orange, loaded with flavour and vitamines. It is a "holy" mango from Borneo, a different species of Mangifera. Some people say it is not a mango, it is a Kasturi! A quintessential superfood. GRAFTED ON GOMERA-1 TO INCREASE COLD RESISTANCE!!! Only a few per year will be grafted and it is also hard to graft.

One of the pictures compares Mangifera casturi with Mangifera laurina: two wild species with supreme flavours.

Buy a small mango tree in our shop

Here in Canarius we offer a grafted potted plant, grown in peatmoss or coconut fiber. The graft will have at least one flush of leaves hardened, but most probably two or three.

Visit this LINK and see pictures of our fruit trees on the packing desk and learn more about what we ship.

The rootstock used for grafting is a seedling of mango Gomera-1. This is commonly used as a rootstock  throughout the Canary Islands, because of their ease of growth and root hardiness to cold wet winters and drought.
