Succulents or "fat plants" are water-retaining species, adapted to dry conditions. They store succum (juice, water) in their leaves, stems or roots, and often show a stout and fleshy appearance.

"Red Maradol" is a Cuban dwarf selection with orange-red flesh. It is an early producing papaya, able to bear fruits in five to eight months, at low height. The tree itself is a bit "dwarf". Leaves are smaller and more divided than usual.
This variety has a tall growth habit, oval (hermaphrodite) / round (female) fruits of good size with red flesh.It usually weighs between 1.3 to 1.6 kgs with 12 to 13 Brix.
The variety 'Sensacion' is a new generation sexed variety, It is a dioecious species, but artificial selection has originated hermaphrodite trees. Papayas are sensitive to frost but they are very fast growers and more resistant to viruses and diseases. Fruit weight is 0,5-2 kg but it can reach up to 9 kg (20 lb).
The Siluet variety has a very pleasant aroma similar to that of Hawaiian papayas. Siluet papayas weigh between 0.5 and 1.5 kg. Excellent internal quality with 4 cm thick red pulp. Fast growing tree, external maturation yellow with red tones.
