If you like exotic plants, you just came to the right place. Canarius offers the hard-to-find exotic plants which are seldom available in garden centres. Our shop has natural species as well as rare hybrids. We offer exotic plants from the Canary Islands.

World deserts and dry areas are home to the most interesting plants. Canarius offers an increasing selection of succulent plants of maximum quality, because they are grown outdoors, under the full sun of the Canary Islands.
Succulents or "fat plants" are water-retaining species, adapted to dry conditions. They store succum (juice, water) in their leaves, stems or roots, and often show a stout and fleshy appearance.
Exotic plants are species from other parts of the world, and they usually have ornamental qualities: a lush foliage, colorful flowers, unusual shapes... Here you can find a great variety of exotic plants: from Bromeliads and Heliconias, to pamls and houseplants.
Exotic plants do not have a particular use. Collectors buy this kind of plants for their rarity, for indoor or outdoor decoration, depending on their features.

This is an old, large robust cultivar, with purple-orange leaves, with a darker colour in the base. Juvenile leaves are more pink, while adult foliage is orange-red, to copper-red according to season and exposure.

One of the best Hawaiian selection of Cordyline. It is a large, tall plant, up to 2-4 m tall. Leaves are wide, 30-50 cm long, shiny, glossy, deep burgundy with a few green stripes.
Cordyline fruticosa'Schubertii' is a very old large-sized cultivar that will grow 1-3 m tall with leaves of 40 - 60 cm. Leaves have "rainbow colours"!
Cordyline stricta can grow indoors as a house plant, but it will also be perfect in the tropical-looking mediterranean garden. It looks like a miniature Cordyline fruticosa but they can take cooler temperatures and short frosts to -2 C with little or no damage.
Costus arabicus 'Variegata' originates from Thailand and is notable for its variegated pattern with nice medium sized green and white variegated leaves.
This ginger is a must in exotic gardening. The showiest red inflorescences are complimented with bright yellow tubular flowers.

Pot = 6 cm, Branched Plant - Elegant, shrubby South African succulent with blueish ovate leaves. It thrives in Mediterranean climates and takes frosts to about -4 C. It is widely used in South African traditional medicine.
Branched, Cont.= 8,5 cm. Succulent small shrub, native to South Africa, up to 15-40 cm high, branched. Leaves are fuzzy and green with 4-5 prominent teeth at tips that give the impression of paws. Showy inflorescences are produced in Spring.

Smalll tidy succulent shrub with grey-blue round leaves. It blooms in spring with truly nice bell-shaped orange flowers, for about two months. It stands some frost, to about -4 C.
Cont.= 8,5 cm. This natural hybrid was originally collected in the Kouga area in the Eastern Cape of South Africa. It has a robust upright habit with glossy leaves.
This extraordinaty exotic ornamental tree is a real people stopper. It profusely produces intensely fragrant red and pink flowers.
