World deserts and dry areas are home to the most interesting plants. Canarius offers an increasing selection of succulent plants of maximum quality, because they are grown outdoors, under the full sun of the Canary Islands.
Succulents or "fat plants" are water-retaining species, adapted to dry conditions. They store succum (juice, water) in their leaves, stems or roots, and often show a stout and fleshy appearance.
Exotic plants are species from other parts of the world, and they usually have ornamental qualities: a lush foliage, colorful flowers, unusual shapes... Here you can find a great variety of exotic plants: from Bromeliads and Heliconias, to pamls and houseplants.
Exotic plants do not have a particular use. Collectors buy this kind of plants for their rarity, for indoor or outdoor decoration, depending on their features.

Jensenobotrya lossowiana is one of the most exciting plants on Earth because it is restricted to one small location on the skeleton coast of Namibia, which is one of the most extraterrestrial place on our planet! It is found on small cliffs, virtually rainless, surrounded by neverending sand dunes in most directions.
This virtually everblooming mesemb is an excellent ground cover, with glaucous leaves and showy, large, copper-coloured flowers. We offer two large sized cuttings.
Succulent groundcover of South Africas coastal regions. Finger-like leaves appear year round with long stems that root as they go, it produces yellow flowers of about 6cm of diameter.

Blue Pfitzer Juniper is an outstanding ornamental shrub. It is a dwarf plant and it can be pruned as a ground cover. If left unpruned it will become a small tree, up to two meters tall with an architectural shape. It is densely branched and growth is squat, almost horizontal. It is an old hybrid obtained by crossing Juniperus chinensis with Juniperus sabina.
A most elegant subtropical shrub, with soft woody stems and large, wide, deep-green leaves. Then it bears some supreme bright yellow inflorescences which are very long lasting. Justicia aurea is fast growing and it is great in bright shade to create a quick tropicalesque effect. It is better pruned back after blooming, otherwise it becomes leggy and old.
Healthy in general, as most gingers, this Kaempferia is used as a strengthener or aphrodisiac since immemorial times. It is also a nice ornamental: flowers are not too exciting (parvi-flora means small flowered) but leaves are glossy and wavy.
Kalanchoe beauverdii is a succulent scrambling climber with gray wiry stems. Leaves are purple-black in high light. Nice hanging gray-green flowers with purple speckles, hold in clusters, native to south and southwestern Madagascar, in dry shrublands forests distributed from sea level up to about 800 m.

Delicate, small sized cultivar of the popular beharensis from Madagascar. Leaves are thick, rounded and velvety as usual. It eventuall grows as a branched shrub to about 80 cm tall.
