If you like exotic plants, you just came to the right place. Canarius offers the hard-to-find exotic plants which are seldom available in garden centres. Our shop has natural species as well as rare hybrids. We offer exotic plants from the Canary Islands.

World deserts and dry areas are home to the most interesting plants. Canarius offers an increasing selection of succulent plants of maximum quality, because they are grown outdoors, under the full sun of the Canary Islands.
Succulents or "fat plants" are water-retaining species, adapted to dry conditions. They store succum (juice, water) in their leaves, stems or roots, and often show a stout and fleshy appearance.
Exotic plants are species from other parts of the world, and they usually have ornamental qualities: a lush foliage, colorful flowers, unusual shapes... Here you can find a great variety of exotic plants: from Bromeliads and Heliconias, to pamls and houseplants.

Vriesea pardalina is a "dream species": well shaped, deep green, neatly spotted rosettes hold a pendulous bloom which is unusual and beautiful at the same time. This inflorescence is composted by pink rounded bracts and lemon yellow flowers.
One of the best vrieseas, able to grow in cooler conditions and to take short frosts.
Blooming plant - This is a popular selection of the splendent-gleaming Vriesea splendens. It has smooth, spineless leaves with dark banding and a colourful red spike, lasting for months.

Welwitschia is a myth of botany, being one the most unusual plants in this world. It came from a very ancient plant lineage and survived to the modern era in the barren deserts of Angola and Namibia.
Low shrub native to coastal eastern Australia, with white to pale-lilac flowers. It is very tough and grows on cliffs right next to the ocean. The neatly whorled leaves and all-year flowering make it very popular in cultivation. Frost tolerance, once established to about -5 C.

Ashwaganda is an Indian medical plant widely used in Ayurvedic medicine. It has just too many good purposes to be resumed. It is a small shrub that grows well in mediterranean to tropical conditions.
Foxtail palm is a beauty with ruffled leaves. Native to exposed gravel hill tops on Cape Melville, in NE Australia. This palm has a solitary, smooth, grey-brown trunk, a remarkable crownshaft and plumose, ruffled dark-green leaves. It was discovered in 1983 and it soon became very popular!

It is a cross between the tropical Cryptanthus bahianus and the frost-hardy Billbergia nutans, so it is a cold-proof Cryptanthus-like plant, good for terrariums!
Pack of three cuttings. This compact succulent spreads slowly, rooting occasionally along stems. Leaf colour is jade-purple to chocolate. It is mat-forming so it is excellent in desert beds or in a potted combination of succulent plants.
Beautiful hanging hybrid with pinkish fleshy leaves, obtained by crossing Graptopetalum paraguayense and Sedum pachyphyllum.
