This bromeliad shows the reddest red you can imagine. Flowers and fruits shine during months above the apple green wide foliage.
New
Aechmea fulgens var. fulgens is a very ornamental bromeliad, which has been popular in the past, until the arrival of mass-produced bromeliads left it in the hand of collectors and botanical gardens. It grows 20-30 cm wide rosettes, often on stolons. Its inflorescence has the reddest red you can imagine. Flowers and fruits shine during months above the apple green wide foliage.
It is cool-tolerant and can be tried outdoors in coastal mediterranean climates.
