New Agave species described in 2013 within the "marmorata group". It is known from Jalisco, Mexico, in dry forests up to 1600 m. It is quite ornamental, just as the rest of the marmorata group, with wavy leaf margins. It also likes some extra water or light shade in the heat of summer.
