This is tiny gem with unreal foliage. Alocasia reginula is a very small Alocasia, most probably from Borneo, with black, light-reflecting foliage. Reginula means "small queen". "Black Velvet" is the most similar man-made substance comparable to this leaf texture.

Be careful in winter! ... this cold-sensitive plant is mostly evergreen but it can shed leaves (and roots) when stressed. In this case, the remaining corm will rest for some weeks and will sprout again later, if temperatures are hot enough. So if it defoliates, don't throw it away and do not overwater the resting corm.
