Very elegant, short-growing mhyrr from open rocky areas in Northern Namibia, Commiphora kraeuseliana is a small deciduous shrub, densely and regularly branched. The flaking bark has a typical golden hue. It bears bright green pinnate leaves made of thin pinnate segments, which look graceful, with a frilly or fern-like look. One wonders how this fresh green foliage can exist in such a harsh sunny environment. In cultivation it enjoys full sun and it is fairly easy but its prices are still very hight, because it is very slow and seed production is scarce.
