This is our selection of plants that can live in your home, as "indoor plants". These hard-to-find species are all very different but they can all be grown in your home. Some can take very low light and some others might need to receive some sun from a window. Palms, bromeliads, cordylines and aspidistras should never dry out. On the other hand, Sansevierias, Hoyas and Rhipsalis need less water and can even take drought.
Fantastic foliage shrub from Melanesia, with heart-shaped rounded leaves which are glossy, deep green, leathery and textured too! It is easy to keep in shape and size by cutting "canes" at any desired height.
Microsorum punctatum cristatum is a wonderful tropical fern suitable as a house plant. Its curly leaf tips are a true show.
Huge specimen in hanging basket. - Tropical multi-purpose fern. It can grow as a groundcover, climber or creeper and also in hanging baskets. It is an excellent house plant, native to Australia and the islands of the South Pacific.
Selected clone with larger leaves and more fenestrations than usual, originally spread at auctions at Fairchild Tropical Garden in Miami. It is larger than a typical adansonii and more "skeletal", with more holes when it matures, and so it looks similar to a Monstera obliqua.
Monstera deliciosa is a species of flowering plant native to tropical forests of southern Mexico, south to Panama. It is very widely grown in temperate zones as a houseplant.
'Imperfection" is a sport of Neoregelia 'Perfection', with the usual bold variegation and lots of bright spots. It is a mid sized spineless bromeliad, with gorgeous glossy leaves.
Bromeliad cross with glossy spineless leaves, with round and red tips. As it blooms, a coral-pink flush appears on the apple-green rosette. It was created (well) before 1970 by Hummel.

LARGE, 80-100 cm tall - Tree with edible chestnut-like fruits, native to Tropical America in swampy areas. The swollen trunk helps it to resist seasonal droughts. It can be kept low and grown as a houseplant, just as its relative Pachira glabra, which is often sold with a braided trunk.
Very ornamenal succulent peperomia from Peru. It is a shrublet with very dense pale green foliage, all glossy. Leaves look like praying "folded" leaves, but it is just their typical shape.
Nice succulent peperomia native in the dry Andes of Ecuador, at 2000-2500 m with red and dark-green leaves. Leaves are interestingly scented when rubbed or crashed. It grows well in medium shade or with morning sun. It is also suitable as an indoor plant.
This is the cinnamon commonly used in the Canary Islands. This South American Peperomia smells like the famous spice. It has branching erect stems with succulent rounded leaves. It has multiple medicinal uses in South America.
A speckled dwarf Peperomia. This species is perfectly adapted to indoor conditions and makes an excellent house plant.
Very elegant and compact Peperomia hybrid, developed in Holland around 2010 through a well-thought selection program. It is a cross of Peperomia marmorata × metallica.
