Truly exotic flowers, star-shaped, with frilly margins, speckled in maroon and yellow, with a sweet vanilla scent. They come out of fan-arranged leaves that grow from tiny underground corms. It is native to the Cape Province in South Africa, and it has spread widely in SW Australia and other countries too. It is easy to grow, and it prefers Mediterranean conditions and sandy soils.

We try to offer one resting corm with cormlets attached. In some times of the year we will ship the growing plant with moist roots in sphagnum moss.
