Mid sized bromeliad with urn-like rosettes holding leaves with a tipically blunt leaf apex. It produces long, drooping inflorescences with grouped pink bracts. It is not too colourful but blooms are very exotic.

Hohenbergia disjuncta is a robust species growing on stout aerial stolons. It is endemic to Bahia and rather easy in cultivation.
