It takes short frosts to about -5 C, drought, and harsh coastal conditions. This plant was selected in New Zealand from a plant wild-collected in Rarotonga, Polynesia and it was initially spread as Metrosideros thomasii. This easy growing metrosideros can be grown in pots or trained as a hedge.

The preferred condition is full sun and it is adaptable to most soils. Prefers moisture when young but tolerates drought periods when established.

We ship a robust, sun-grown plant, cultivated in a 14-18 cm pot, of variable height of 25-40 cm. We will always try to select a compact robust plant for you. We ship worldwide.
