Pelargonium dolomiticum is uncommon in cultivation, while it is widespread across central and northern South Africa, extending to Botswana and Namibia. This is one of the few pelargoniums from South African grasslands, so it is summer growing and it rests in winter. It often looses branches, resprouting from its underground rootstock. It has silvery bipinnate leaves reminiscent of parsley, and nice white-to-mauve flowers with darker streaks. The two upper petals are unusually long.
