This beautiful Philodendron has long and narrow leaves and shows an impressive transition from the juvenile stage to the adult. Young plants , like the one we ship, have very narrow leaves wth a fantastic purple underleaf. As they grow older, leaves turn all green but they grow larger and much wider, with showy horizontal ribs. Philodendron atabapoense is a climber and it should be grown in hight light to keep it compact.
It is easy to grow but it does not like to go below 12 C or so, while it can survive to lower temperatures It was described in the 70's from lowland Amazonia.
