Very ornamental caudex-forming shrub from Southern Madagascar. It is an easy species and it is rather fast growing and free-blooming when grown in hot coastal weather. It has some cold resistance but it should be protected from frost. It is grown outdoors with no protection in warmer Mediterranean climates such as Sicily or Southern Spain.
