Frost-hardy Collector's Yucca named after the Sierra Madre Occidental of Mexico. Sonora It is related to Yucca rigida and Y. schottii but it grows as a shorter plant, with narrower leaves. It grows on rocky slopes at 1400 - 2300 m and grows well in pot colture.
