Aloidendron dichotomum is one of the most beautiful of the tree-aloes. It has a very wide distribution of hundred of kilometers spanning from Namibia to RSA. Nevertheless, this species is in decline throughout much of its range . Most of the plants in cultivation are from RSA material and they give seedlings with plenty of tiny yellowish spines all over the slim juvenile leaves. In turn, young plants of this rarer Namibian form are much smoother and stouter than the standard types from RSA.
Aloidendron dichotomum was formerly called Aloe dichotoma until 2013, when it was placed in this new genus Aloidendron, together with other tree-aloes. We offer plants about 10-16 cm tall.
