Chamaedorea klotzschiana

This palm has quite unique leaves because segments are grouped, so each leaf has its own "rhythm".  It is a small-sized uncommon palm from Central America, still sought after by palm-collectors. It has a solitary bamboo-like stem which is also very attractive.

Chamaedorea klotschiana is very cool-tolerant and grows perfectly in the shade in the coastal mediterranean where frosts are uncommon. It takes light frosts but it does not like them!
