This species is native to the subtropical island of Hainan, China. Cycas hainanensis is found in the rainforests of the wetter eastern parts of the island, from about sea level to 1200 m (3600 ft). This species survives mainly in cultivation as the native populations are very restricted.

We currently offer nine years old plants grown in tall cm pots, locally grown from seed.  Their size is: Leaf Height = More than 150 cm , 16 cm base.. We ship worldwide.

Leaves longer than 90 cm do not fit in the box. We will bend or cut of all parts above 90 cm. The plant may look ugly at first but it will produce new leaves after some time. These cycads are very tolerant of leaf cut because they have very thick robust bases and can sprout back quickly. If you want to receive the plant in a huge tall box with no bending or cutting, we can calculate an extra shipping cost, but it could be a bit too expensive.
