In questa sezione abbiamo raccolto quelle piante che si dice di avere un effetto positivo sulla salute. Queste specie appartengono a diverse famiglie di piante e le diverse aree del mondo. La diversità della cultura umana ha imparato a convivere con la diversità delle piante ed alcune specie divennero terapeutiche o medicinale. Alcuni, come l'Aloe vera crescono in condizioni di sole ed asciutto, e può vivere in una piccola pentola. Alcuni altri diventeranno grandi alberi e hanno bisogno di spazio e tempo per crescere. Ricordarsi di fare attenzione, non tutte queste piante sono commestibili, alcuni sono tossici se mangiato o applicato alla pelle.

Boswellia ovalifoliolata is native to India, but unlike the widespread Indian species Boswellia serrata, this one is restricted to a rather small area: It is endemic to the Tirumala hills, in the Seshachalam hillranges of Palakonda, in the Eastern Ghats.
