Cycas hainanensis - SPECIMEN - Hojas estrechas

Nació enun semillero de plantas normales, con hojas más estrechas que las demás plántulas. Hoy es un ejemplar especialmente hermoso, como en las fotos, con hojas de > 150 cm , 16 cm de base y 9 años de edad.

This species is native to the subtropical island of Hainan, China. Cycas hainanensis is found in the rainforests of the wetter eastern parts of the island, from about sea level to 1200 m (3600 ft). This species survives mainly in cultivation as the native populations are very restricted.. We ship worldwide.

Leaves longer than 90 cm do not fit in the box. We will bend or cut of all parts above 90 cm. The plant may look ugly at first but it will produce new leaves after some time. These cycads are very tolerant of leaf cut because they have very thick robust bases and can sprout back quickly.
