Les plantes vivent toujours
Nouveau
The Bulb! Boophane is widespread in dry areas of South Africa, to Angola and Cameroon. It builds a huge bulb, up to 15-20 cm in diameter, growing exposed above ground, and coated in papery old sheaths. During the growing season, the bulb is topped by a perfect fan of glaucous leaves. Boophane is a must for bulb collectors and it is also easy in cultivation... it is possibly the easiest in the group of the huge desert bulbs. It can be both evergreen or deciduous. It will take a a rest when it is too dry. In Europe of course it is easier to let it dry in winter.
This plant was sown in early 2020. So it is now about 5 years old.
