Cordyline fruticosa 'Maui Silver'

Cordyline fruticosa 'Maui Silver' is a small leaved Hawaiian hybrid, with colourful leaves. This "Ti-Plant" has very tough, wind-resistant leaves, leathery and curved. They densely cover the stems. Stems grow upright, above 1-3 m tall.

The dense foliage of Maui Silver will show a spectacular range of colour, especially in full sun. A rainbow that will change according to season and growing conditions: green, cherry-red, burgundy, copper, cream, blueish, silvery... all on the same plant.

As all cordylines, it can be kept low by pruning or air layering the shoots that become too tall. It will sprout new shoots from the base or from the cut.

Cordyline fruticosa can grow indoors as a house plant. It stands both full sun and shade and even bright indoor conditions. These Hawaiian selections will also be perfect in the tropical or subtropical garden. They can take cool temperatures but will be damaged or killed by frost.

The plant we offer is about 15-25 cm tall and it is about 1 year old from cutting.
