Nice dwarf species with immaculate, bluish leaves, arranged distichously (in two rows). It starts as a small flat lying plant and eventually grows into dome-shaped clumps. It bears simple spikes with unusually swollen flowers, red-pink with yellow-green tips. Gasteria glomerata was described in 1991. It is endemic to Kouga Dam in the SE Cape.
