Roystonea regia - LARGE

The height of these cuban royal palms is about 2 m, rootbound in pots, with bases of 5-8 cm. We will cut or bend the leaves to a total height of 90 cm and it will resprout back in about 2 months, taller than before !

Royal palms at this stage are very fast. Just keep heated in a range of 20-26 C and get a huge royal palm at home for this price. They can take full sun.

The Cuban Royal Palm is one of the most beautiful of all palms. It is native to the savannas and open forests of Cuba and surrounding territories. Roystonea regia has a robust white smooth trunk, with showy rings; a glossy green crownshaft and an abundant crown of large plumose leaves.

It is fast growing and tolerant of very light frosts. With some winter protection it can grow outdoors in the warmer Mediterranean.
