Grey leaved Tillandsia from cool areas in South America. Stems branch prolifically, eventually forming a large dome of grey leaves. If hung from a wire, it becomes a ball. It has beautiful flowers. It takes some frost and thrives in non-tropical climates.

As a true airplant, it can be grown epiphytically, even hanging on a wire.
