Zingiber macradenium

Chocolate Beehive Ginger produces compact, glossy "beehive" inflorescences, with a beautiful chocolate-reddish colour. It starts blooming early in the year and it is long-lasting, with fragrant flowers.

Zingiber macradenium is evergreen, and clumps are very tight, not running. Shoots are elegant, erect and gently arching. Leaves have wavy margins. Keep in high light to have compact, tidy clumps.
